In case this is helpful to anyone else struggling with DTM in the UK...this is advice from defra:You will need to first create a contour from our raster DTM using some GIS software. I would advise using QGIS which is free and open source for this work. There is some help in the Blogs and Guides section of our Hub for importing our raster data into QGIS.One you have the raster DTM imported into QGIS you need to create a contour at defined intervals.
